we'll make it right—whether it's a size exchange, different design, or full 
refund.

15-DAY RETURN POLICY

Return Window: 15 days from delivery date
Condition: Unworn, unwashed, with original tags
No Questions Asked: We trust you


HOW TO RETURN

1. Email Support@thestatethreads.com with:
   • Order number
   • Item(s) you want to return
   • Reason for return (helps us improve)
   • Whether you want refund or exchange

2. We'll send you:
   • Return authorization
   • Return shipping label (for defective items)
   • Instructions

3. Pack your item securely and ship it back

4. We'll process your return within 2-3 business days of receiving it


REFUND TIMELINE

Once we receive your return:

- Inspection: 1-2 business days
- Refund processed: 2-3 business days
- Refund appears in your account: 5-10 business days (depends on your bank)

Refunds are issued to your original payment method.


EXCHANGES

Wrong size? We've got you covered.

Free Exchanges:
- Size too small or too large
- Want different color
- Prefer different design

How to Exchange:
1. Email Support@thestatethreads.com
2. Tell us what size/color/design you want instead
3. We'll send a prepaid return label
4. Send back your original item
5. We'll ship your new item as soon as we receive the return

Exchange Processing: 2-3 business days after receiving your return
Shipping: 2-3 business days

Total Exchange Time: Approximately 7-10 business days


RETURN SHIPPING COSTS

Defective or Wrong Item: We pay return shipping
Changed Your Mind: You pay return shipping ($4.95 typical USPS rate)
Size Exchange: FREE return shipping

We'll provide a prepaid label for defective items and free exchanges.

✗ Items worn or washed

✗ Items damaged by customer

DEFECTIVE OR DAMAGED ITEMS

Received a defective or damaged item? We'll make it right immediately.

Contact us at Support@thestatethreads.com with:
- Order number
- Photos of the defect or damage
- Description of the issue

We'll send a replacement at no cost or issue a full refund—your choice.

No need to return defective items unless we request it.


WRONG ITEM RECEIVED

Received the wrong product? Our mistake.

Email Support@thestatethreads.com with your order number. We'll:
- Send the correct item immediately (free shipping)
- Provide prepaid return label for wrong item
- Let you keep the wrong item if it's not returnable


PRINT QUALITY ISSUES

We inspect every shirt before shipping, but if you notice:
- Faded print
- Cracked design
- Misaligned graphic
- Color issues

Contact us with photos and we'll send a replacement or full refund.


CANCELLATIONS

Need to cancel your order?

Before Production Starts (within 2 hours): 
- Email Support@thestatethreads.com immediately
- Full refund if we haven't started printing

After Production Starts:
- Cannot cancel (shirts are printed to order)
- You can return for refund once received (standard return policy applies)


REFUND METHOD

Refunds are issued to original payment method:

Credit/Debit Card: 5-10 business days
PayPal: 3-5 business days
Shop Pay: 3-5 business days


STORE CREDIT

Prefer store credit instead of refund?

- We'll issue store credit + 10% bonus
- Never expires
- Can be used on any future purchase

Just let us know when you initiate your return.


MULTIPLE ITEMS

Returning only some items from an order?

- Partial refunds issued for returned items only
- If return drops order below $70, original shipping charge ($4.95) deducted 
  from refund


HOW WE HANDLE RETURNS

2. Verify condition (unworn, tags attached)
3. Process refund or exchange
4. Send confirmation email

Fair & Fast: We process returns quickly and give you the benefit of the doubt.


FRAUD PREVENTION

We trust our customers, but we monitor for:
- Excessive returns (20+ returns in 6 months)
- Returns of worn/damaged items
- Return fraud patterns

Accounts flagged for abuse may have return privileges revoked.


LOST RETURN SHIPMENT

If your return gets lost in transit:

- Contact us immediately
- Provide tracking number
- We'll investigate with carrier
- You won't be penalized for carrier issues


INTERNATIONAL RETURNS

We currently only ship within the US, so all returns are domestic.

Future: When we expand internationally, return policies will be updated.

If it's not perfect:
- Wrong fit → Free exchange
- Don't like design → Full refund
- Quality issue → Immediate replacement
- Changed your mind → Easy return (within 15 days)
